Allah’s Announcement on the Day of Judgment
“Indeed, Allah will proclaim on the Day of Judgment: ‘Where are those who loved each other for My Majesty? Today, I shall grant them a place under My shade, where no other shade exists but Mine.’”(Sahih Muslim, Kitab al-Birr wa al-Silah wa al-Adab: 6548)
Significance of This Announcement:
On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will publicly declare the esteemed position of those who loved one another solely for His sake. This proclamation will demonstrate to the people of the Day of Judgment the high status of those who foster love and affection for Allah’s sake.Allah will grant them a place under His shade, which, as clarified in some narrations, refers to the shade of His Throne.
Seven Categories of People Under Allah’s Shade
The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) has detailed the seven types of individuals who will be under Allah’s shade on the Day when there will be no other shade:- A Just Ruler: One who governs with fairness and equity.
- A Youth Devoted to Worship: A young person who grows up in the worship of their Lord.
- A Heart Attached to Mosques: Someone whose heart remains connected to the mosques.
- Friends for Allah’s Sake: Two individuals who love each other for Allah, meet for His sake, and part for His sake.
- One Who Resists Temptation: A person who, when seduced by a beautiful and noble woman, responds with, “I fear Allah.”
- A Secret Giver of Charity: One who gives charity so discreetly that their left hand does not know what the right hand has given.
- One Who Weeps in Solitude: A person who remembers Allah in private and weeps sincerely.
