Abu Sadiq Ashiq Ali Athari (Hafizahullah).
"Whoever fasts in Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven. Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven. And whoever stands in prayer during Laylatul Qadr with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven."
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2014; Sahih Muslim, Hadith 759)
"Whoever is overcome by vomiting does not need to make up the fast, but whoever vomits deliberately must make it up."
(Sahih: Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 577; Sunan Abu Dawood, Hadith 2380; Sahih al-Jami', Hadith 6243)
If a person becomes impure due to a state of major impurity (janabah) and does not perform ghusl (ritual purification) until after dawn, or if a woman who was menstruating or experiencing post-natal bleeding becomes pure before dawn but delays her ghusl until after dawn, their fast remains valid. However, they must ensure that they perform ghusl before the Fajr prayer. It is not permissible to delay ghusl until after the sun rises. For men, it is essential to hasten in performing ghusl so they can join the Fajr prayer in congregation.
"Leave what makes you doubtful for what does not make you doubtful."
(Sahih: Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2045; Sunan an-Nasa’i, Hadith 5269)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said:
"Whoever avoids doubtful matters has protected his religion and his honor."
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 52; Sahih Muslim, Hadith 107)
It is essential to maintain the integrity of prayer during Ramadan and beyond by performing it with the necessary calmness, devotion, and sincerity. May Allah guide us all to observe our fasts and prayers in the best manner, seeking only His pleasure and reward.
13. Matters Some People are Unaware Of:
It is obligatory for a Muslim to fast during Ramadan with the intention of fulfilling the command of faith and seeking the reward from Allah, not for showing off, seeking fame, or imitating others in the family or neighborhood. The person must believe that Allah has made fasting obligatory upon them and must seek the reward from Allah alone. Similarly, when performing the night prayers (Qiyam) in Ramadan, it is essential that one does so with sincerity, aiming for the reward from Allah and not for any other reason. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:"Whoever fasts in Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.
14. Matters of Which Some People Are Unaware Regarding Fasting:
If a fasting person gets injured, experiences a nosebleed, vomits, or accidentally swallows a drop of water or oil, these occurrences do not invalidate the fast. However, if a person deliberately induces vomiting, the fast will be invalidated. This is because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:"Whoever is overcome by vomiting does not need to make up the fast, but whoever vomits deliberately must make it up."
(Sahih: Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 577; Sunan Abu Dawood, Hadith 2380; Sahih al-Jami', Hadith 6243)

15. Actions That Do Not Invalidate the Fast:
- Taking a blood test.
- Receiving an injection that is not nutritional in nature.

16. Tranquility and Calmness in Prayer Is Obligatory:
One of the things that many people are unaware of is the necessity of tranquility and calmness during prayer, whether it is an obligatory or voluntary prayer. Authentic hadiths from the Prophet (peace be upon him) indicate that tranquility is a fundamental part of the prayer. Without it, the prayer is invalid. Therefore, one must perform the prayer slowly, with humility, and without rushing, allowing all the bones to return to their proper positions. Many people perform Taraweeh prayers in Ramadan in such haste that they themselves do not comprehend the prayer, nor do they achieve any tranquility. Instead, they move rapidly, resembling the pecking of a bird on the ground. Such a prayer is invalid, and those who perform it in this manner are sinful and deprived of reward. It is essential to maintain the integrity of prayer during Ramadan and beyond by performing it with the necessary calmness, devotion, and sincerity. May Allah guide us all to observe our fasts and prayers in the best manner, seeking only His pleasure and reward.
