Allah, the Lord of Glory, has described several qualities of His believing, chosen servants in the Holy Quran. One of these is that they avoid useless, meaningless talk and futile deeds. Their effort is that their daily activities are devoted not to trivialities but to the exaltation of the Word of Allah. This is evident from the following few verses. Thus, Allah Almighty has said:
"Indeed, the believers have succeeded, who are humble in their prayers and who avoid vain talk."
Reference: (23-Al-Mu’minun:1 to 3)
In another place He said: ﴿وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا﴾
"(The servants of the Most Merciful) are those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by something hateful, they pass by with dignity."
Reference: (25-Al-Furqan:72)
"And when they hear vain talk, they turn away from it and say, 'For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds; peace be upon you; we seek not the company of the ignorant.'"

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In Paradise, there are such chambers that if you stand inside, you can see everything outside, and if you stand outside, you can see everything inside." A Bedouin stood up and asked: O Prophet of Allah! For whom are these chambers? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "They are for the one who speaks good, feeds others, fasts frequently, and when people are in deep sleep, he rises to pray."
