The Virtues and Rewards of Praying in the Mosque

❖ The Significance of Mosques in Islam

◈ Mosques: The Most Beloved Places to Allah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"The most beloved places to Allah are the mosques."

Even constructing a mosque as small as a bird's nest earns this immense reward.

"The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day..."
(Surah At-Tawbah, 9:18)

The Prophet ﷺ mentioned:
"Seven are shaded by Allah on the Day of Judgment... a man whose heart is attached to the mosques."
(Sahih Muslim, Book of Zakat, Hadith 1031)

◈ Steps Towards the Mosque Elevate Status

The Prophet ﷺ stated:
"Whoever purifies himself in his house, then walks to one of the houses of Allah to perform an obligatory prayer, each step he takes will elevate him one degree and erase one sin."
(Sahih Muslim, Book of Mosques, Hadith 666)

◈ Angels' Supplication for the Worshipper

The Prophet ﷺ said:
"The angels continue to pray for one of you as long as he remains in his place of prayer, saying: 'O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, have mercy on him.'"
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Adhan, Hadith 659; Sahih Muslim, Book of Mosques, Hadith 649)
