Umm Salamah (رضي الله عنها) reported:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast more often on Saturday and Sunday than on other days. He said: ‘They are the festival days of the polytheists, so I like to differ from them.’”
[Musnad Ahmad: 26750 – Hasan]
