Usamah ibn Zayd (رضي الله عنهما) said:
I asked: “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, you fast to such an extent that you seem not to break the fast, and then you stop fasting to the extent that it seems you do not fast—except on two days. If those days are part of your usual fasting schedule, good; otherwise, you make sure to fast them.”
He ﷺ asked: “Which two days?”
I said: “Monday and Thursday.”
He ﷺ replied:
“Those are the two days when deeds are presented before the Lord of the Worlds, and I like that my deeds be presented while I am fasting.”

Aisha (رضي الله عنها) said:
