The virtue of charity and good deeds in the blessed month of Ramadan.

This excerpt is taken from the book of Fazilat al-Sheikh Mubashir Ahmad Rabbani, may Allah have mercy on him, Ahkam and Masail of Ramadan.

Ramadan and Charity :.

Sayyidina Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
كان النبى أجود الناس بالخير وكان أجود ما يكون فى رمضان حين يلقاه جبريل... فإذا لقيه جبريل كان أجود بالخير من الريح المرسلة
"The Noble Prophet, peace be upon him, was more generous than anyone else, and during Ramadan, when he met Gabriel, peace be upon him, the Noble Messenger, peace be upon him, was even more generous than a swift blowing wind."
Reference: (Bukhari: 1902, Muslim: 2308)

Therefore, we should also give charity abundantly during Ramadan. We should fully support the Mujahideen, Islamic schools, the poor and needy, orphans and widows, the destitute and impoverished, the needy and those in dire straits, the downtrodden, the lowly, the destitute, and the barefooted, so that they can live with dignity and easily participate in the joys of Eid al-Fitr.
