Translation: Ḥāfiẓ ʿAbd al-Salām bin Muḥammad Bhaṭwī
وعن أبي الدرداء رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: ما من شيء في الميزان أثقل من حسن الخلق أخرجه أبو داود والترمذي وصححه
It is narrated from Abū al-Dardā’ (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"There is nothing heavier on the scale than good character."
Reported by Abū Dāwūd and al-Tirmidhī, who graded it authentic.
وَإِنَّ صَاحِبَ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ لَيَبْلُغُ بِهِ دَرَجَةَ صَاحِبِ الصَّوْمِ وَالصَّلَاةِ
"And indeed, a person with good character reaches, through it, the rank of one who fasts and performs prayer."
