ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Mubārak رحمه الله would often remain at home. Someone once asked him:
“You remain at home so frequently — do you not feel loneliness because of solitude?”
He replied:
"كيف أستوحش وأنا مع النبى وأصحابه والتابعين لهم بإحسان"
How could I ever feel lonely when I am in the company of the Prophet ﷺ, his Companions, and the righteous followers (by engaging with Hadith)?
