Chapter: When Allah Loves a Servant, He Grants Him Acceptance Among His Creation
«باب إذا أحب الله عبدًا أحبه إلى عباده»
✿ Narrated by Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“When Allah the Blessed and Exalted loves a servant, He calls Jibrīl and says: ‘I love so-and-so, so love him.’ Thus Jibrīl also loves him. Then Jibrīl announces in the heavens: ‘Indeed, Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.’ So the inhabitants of the heavens also love him, and then acceptance for him is established among the people on earth.
And when Allah dislikes a servant, He calls Jibrīl and says: ‘I dislike so-and-so, so dislike him.’ Then Jibrīl also dislikes him. Then Jibrīl announces among the inhabitants of the heavens: ‘Indeed, Allah dislikes so-and-so, so dislike him.’ Thus, they all begin to dislike him, and hatred for him is also placed among the people on earth.”
[Agreed Upon – Reported by Muslim 1637 and al-Bukhārī 7485]
✔ True love from Allah results in spiritual elevation, not only in the unseen realm but also among His creation.
✔ A person's acceptance, respect, and popularity are rooted in divine love, not worldly schemes.
✔ Conversely, divine dislike leads to spiritual rejection, both in heaven and on earth.
✔ The hearts of people are under Allah’s control, and He places love or aversion in them according to His will.
