Topic: Permissibility of Joining a Committee
There is no harm in participating in a committee (money pool). It is considered a type of loan where no individual is required to pay or receive any additional benefit as a condition. This matter was discussed in the council of senior scholars, where the majority concluded that such committees are permissible because they benefit everyone involved and do not result in any harm.
