Therefore, when a Muslim slaughters an animal, it is to be assumed that he has followed the proper Islamic guidelines, including:
✔ Reciting Bismillah,
✔ Observing the correct method of slaughter.
Thus, his slaughtered meat is lawful to eat.
It is narrated in the Hadith of Aisha (رضي الله عنها) that some people said:
“O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! A group brings meat to us, and we are not sure whether they mentioned Allah's name over it or not?”
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
“Say Bismillah yourselves and eat it.”
Lady Aisha (رضي الله عنها) added:
“They were newly converted to Islam.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 5507]
