"Indeed, he [Satan] and his tribe see you from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe."
(Al-A'raf: 27)
Such deceptive acts are often beyond human comprehension because they are aided by devils. However, they remain nothing more than fraudulent tricks and deceptions.
Question:
What is the ruling on a magician who performs strange acts, such as slaughtering a child or engaging in bizarre rituals?Answer:
An example of such actions is mentioned in historical accounts. Walid bin Uqbah had a magician who would perform deceptive acts. For instance, he would pretend to strike a child with a sword, breaking the child’s neck, and then restore the child as if nothing had happened. Similarly, he would place a child into the mouth of a donkey, only to pull the child out from its rear.Eventually, an Ansari man struck the magician on the head, killing him instantly, and challenged the magician to bring himself back to life.
This incident is documented in “Al-Bidaya wa Nihaya” by Ibn Kathir.
Nature of Such Acts
These acts are entirely satanic. Allah (SWT) states in the Qur’an:"Indeed, he [Satan] and his tribe see you from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe."
(Al-A'raf: 27)
Such deceptive acts are often beyond human comprehension because they are aided by devils. However, they remain nothing more than fraudulent tricks and deceptions.
