There can be many forms of ease for a needy person. For example, he may be given respite or forgiven, in which case whoever brings ease will be rewarded accordingly by Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty has said:
﴿وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَىٰ مَيْسَرَةٍ ۚ وَأَن تَصَدَّقُوا خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ﴾
"And if (the debtor) is in hardship, then grant him time until it is easy for him to repay. But if you remit it by way of charity, that is better for you, if you only knew."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever relieves a Muslim from a worldly hardship, Allah will relieve him from a hardship on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever brings ease to one in difficulty in this world, Allah will bring ease to him in this world and the Hereafter. And whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. As long as a person helps his (believing) brother, Allah continues to help him."

Furthermore, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من أحب أن يظله الله فى ظله، فلينظر معسرا، أو ليضع عنه
"Whoever wishes that Allah will grant him a place under His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His, then let him grant respite to the needy or forgive him."
