Chapter: The Slave is a Shepherd and He is Accountable for His Master’s Wealth
✿ Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله عنهما)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Each of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The ruler who is in authority over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for them. A man is a shepherd over the members of his household and is responsible for them. A woman is a shepherd over the household of her husband and his children and is responsible for them. And a slave is a shepherd over the wealth of his master and is responsible for it. Beware, each of you is a shepherd and each of you will be asked about his flock.”
