The relationship between Ramadan and the Quran in the light of authentic Hadiths.

This excerpt is taken from the book of Sheikh Mubashir Ahmed Rabbani, may Allah have mercy on him, Ahkam and Masail of Ramadan.

Ramadan and the Holy Quran:.

Ramadan and the Holy Quran have a deep connection, as mentioned above, the revelation of the Holy Quran took place in Ramadan. Perhaps this is why the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to recite the Holy Quran abundantly during Ramadan.
Sayyidina Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates:
وكان جبريل يلقاه كل ليلة فى رمضان حتى ينسلخ يعرض عليه النبى القرآن
"Gabriel (peace be upon him) used to meet the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) every night of Ramadan until the end of the month, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would recite the Holy Quran to him."
Reference: (Bukhari, Book of Fasting, Chapter: The Best of What the Prophet (peace be upon him) Used to Do in Ramadan: 1904, Muslim: 2308)

Sayyidina Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that:
كان يعرض على النبى القرآن كل عام مرة فعرض عليه مرتين فى العام الذى قبض فيه
"Gabriel (peace be upon him) would recite the Quran to the Prophet (peace be upon him) once every year. The year he passed away, he recited it to him twice."
Reference: (Bukhari, Book of Virtues of the Quran, Chapter: Gabriel Used to Present the Quran to the Prophet (peace be upon him): 4998)

Therefore, every Muslim brother should recite the Holy Quran abundantly during Ramadan and understand its meanings and teachings. May Allah grant us success.
