Do Jinn Suffer the Same Punishment in the Fire as Humans?
Answer:
Yes, indeed! Allah (ﷻ) says:
(Surah al-Aʿrāf 7:38)
“He (Allah) will say: ‘Enter among nations that had passed on before you of jinn and men into the Fire.’ Every time a nation enters, it will curse its sister until, when they have all overtaken one another therein, the last of them will say about the first of them: ‘Our Lord, these had misled us, so give them a double punishment of the Fire.’ He will say: ‘For each is double, but you do not know.’”
The phrase “ادْخُلُوا فِي أُمَمٍ” means: join the nations like yourselves or with similar characteristics — that is, the previous disbelieving nations — in the Fire.
When they all gather therein, the latter (who followed others) will say about those before them: “O our Lord, give them a double punishment of the Fire,” asking for their punishment to be increased.
This verse clarifies that jinn, like humans, will face punishment in the Fire if they disbelieve and transgress.
And Allah knows best.
