What was the attitude and behavior of disbelievers in response to the proofs of faith?
The behavior of disbelievers in the face of clear proofs of faith has historically been marked by denial, arrogance, and stubbornness. Despite the abundant evidence of Allah’s existence and oneness—clearly observable in every aspect of creation—disbelievers have consistently rejected these signs.
Disbelievers often dispute about Allah ﷻ without any basis in knowledge or guidance.
"And among the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil."
— Surah al-Ḥajj: 3
They reject Allah’s signs out of pride and injustice, even though their hearts are internally convinced.
"And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, out of injustice and arrogance."
— Surah al-Naml: 14
They attempt to conceal the truth by blending it with falsehood, causing confusion and misguidance.
"And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]."
— Surah al-Baqarah: 42
They not only disbelieve themselves but also actively obstruct others from the path of Allah.
"Indeed, those who disbelieve and avert [others] from the path of Allah have certainly gone far astray."
— Surah al-Nisāʾ: 167
They ignore divine truth and cling blindly to ancestral traditions, even when they are false.
"They said: 'Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our forefathers.'"
— Surah al-Māʾidah: 104
To avoid believing, they fabricate doubts and demand impossible signs—like seeing Allah ﷻ with their own eyes.
"We will never believe in you until we see Allah plainly."
— Surah al-Baqarah: 55
They accept invisible phenomena like air, gravity, and radio waves, yet deny clearer and more manifest signs of Allah’s existence.
Disbelievers demanded to see Allah physically, despite the fact that no human eye in this world can bear the vision of His Majesty.
The attitude of disbelievers towards the signs of faith has always been rooted in:
Stubbornness
Arrogance
Rejection of Truth
Spreading Misguidance
Their denial is not due to lack of evidence, but due to their refusal to submit to the truth. True belief can only be attained when they abandon their arrogance, acknowledge the divine signs, and accept the message of the Messengers sincerely.
