The Reality of the Danger of Evil Eye

What is the danger of the evil eye?
❖ Answer:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
«العين حق، ولو كان شيء سابق القدر لسبقته العين»
"The evil eye is real, and if anything could overtake destiny, it would be the evil eye."
[Sahih Muslim, Hadith no. 2188]
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
«العين تدخل الرجل القبر، وتدخل الجمل القدرة»
"The evil eye may cause a man to enter the grave, and a camel to enter the cooking pot."
(Hasan)
