❖ Evidence
Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh (RA):He narrated:
“Rajama al-nabiyyu ﷺ rajulan min al-yahūd wa imra’atan zanayā.”
“The Prophet ﷺ stoned a Jewish man and a Jewish woman who had committed zinā.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ: Abū Dāwūd: 3742, 4455 – Kitāb al-Ḥudūd: Bāb fī Rajm al-Yahūdiyyīn]
Conclusion
- The Prophet ﷺ implemented the ruling of rajm (stoning to death) on non-Muslims (Jews) when they committed zinā.
- This demonstrates the universality of ḥudūd laws in Islamic governance, applying to Muslims and non-Muslims under the Sharīʿah system.
