❖ Mention in the Elegy of Ṣafiyyah bint ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib​

In Ṭabaqāt Ibn Saʿd, the noble aunt of the Prophet ﷺ, Ṣafiyyah bint ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib, composed a eulogy (marthiyah) upon his passing in which she referenced three significant descriptive names of the Prophet ﷺ:

المجتبیٰ (al-Mujtabā)The Chosen One
الرشید (al-Rashīd)The Rightly Guided One
الناصح (al-Nāṣiḥ)The Sincere Advisor

She says:

«على المرتضى للهدي ولتقى وللرشد والنور بعد الظلم»
"Upon the one who was chosen for guidance, piety, uprightness, and as a light after darkness."

«على الطاهر المرسل المجتبيٰ رسول تخيره ذو الكرم»
"Upon the pure, the messenger, the chosen one – a Prophet whom the Generous Lord Himself selected."

These lines highlight the Prophet’s ﷺ purity, divine selection, and his role as a guiding light and sincere advisor.
