Once balance and justice were restored, humanity was granted full freedom and choice to embrace the truth:
"لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ"
“There is no compulsion in religion. Truth stands clear from error.”
❖ The Restoration of Balance and Freedom
Why would entire nations not willingly accept this message of truth? Through it, the iron grip of oppressive regimes was broken, and people were given freedom to choose their faith based on reason. As a result, the colonizers were forced to retreat from their strongholds. This was a monumental shift in the balance of history, so much so that it pierced the hearts of tyrants:"وَإِذَا خَلَوْاْ عَضُّواْ عَلَيْكُمُ الأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ قُلْ مُوتُواْ بِغَيْظِكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ"
✿ Fear of the Sword of Muhammad ﷺ
This is why they harbor such intense hatred for the sword of Muhammad ﷺ, though they are powerless against it. For if it were merely about arguments, they had long experience suppressing arguments.Was there no logic or evidence in the message of Jesus (ʿalayhis-salām)? Yet his true monotheistic followers were brutally crushed, and Paul’s doctrine of Trinity replaced divine law through force.
So it is only natural that the proof which their tyranny could not silence would now feel like poison to them.
◈ The Explanation of Imam Ibn Taymiyyah
Imam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله eloquently summarized this resentment:“The Prophet ﷺ came with a book that guides hearts and minds, and a sword that restrains tyrants and oppressors.”
How could this powerful combination ever be welcomed by those who benefit from injustice?
✔ Thrones of Oppression and Historical Injustice
This resentment stems from the same centuries-old thrones that were built on injustice, coercion, and bloodshed. It was on these thrones that monarchs crushed truth, reason, and evidence.It was the tyranny of the Church that pushed many of their followers away from religion altogether.

The prophets fought battles, established justice, governed societies, issued rulings, married, raised families, and engaged in the affairs of everyday life.✦ What’s So Unfamiliar About That?
What, then, is so strange or controversial here that it should cause an uproar?The sword of Muhammad ﷺ was wielded not to impose belief, but to break the chains of tyranny, and to open the path for truth to be freely chosen.
