The Prayer of the Night of Bara'ah

This article is derived from the book "Salah Mustafa ﷺ" authored by the esteemed Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi.

✿ The Prayer of the Night of Bara'ah

On the night of the fifteenth of Sha'ban, the performance of "Salat al-Bara'ah", "Salat al-Alfiyyah", or offering one hundred (100) rak'ahs of prayer with the recitation of Surah Al-Ikhlas ten times in each rak'ah, or engaging in any specific form of worship, is not established by any authentic or sound Hadith.

These practices are all later innovations that were not present during the time of the Prophet ﷺ.
The first recorded instance of organized prayer on this night occurred in 448 AH at Bayt al-Maqdis.
