Human life is divided into two major domains: material and spiritual. To create balance between these, there is a need for a practical model of an exemplary life that can offer guidance both in worldly and spiritual matters. History is replete with rulers, intellectuals, saints, and other great leaders whose lives serve as beacons for us. However, the question arises: why study the noble life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who passed away over 1,400 years ago, especially when science and human ideologies have undergone significant transformations since then?❖ The Clear Answer for a Muslim
For Muslims, the answer is straightforward: Islam cannot be perfected without following the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His exemplary conduct (Uswah Hasanah) serves as a model for all Muslims. However, for those who are not yet familiar with the blessed life of the Prophet ﷺ, it is important to remind them of some key facts.❖ Preservation of the Teachings
✔ The teachings of the Prophet ﷺ were preserved with reliable precision in written form.✔ Uniquely, the Prophet ﷺ not only conveyed revelation and commandments to his companions but also had them documented by appointed scribes.
✔ The recitation of the Qur'an became part of Muslim worship, ensuring its preservation both in written and oral form.
✔ In terms of content, the Qur'an is more comprehensive and instructive than the scriptures of other religions, containing guidance for every aspect of life.
❖ Universality of the Message
✔ The message of the Prophet ﷺ was intended for the entire world, not confined to a specific nation or race.✔ He taught equality among human beings, eliminating the discrimination of color and ethnicity.
✔ He revived and affirmed the teachings of previous prophets, such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, and others عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلَامُ.
❖ The Universal Message of Prophethood
✔ During his lifetime, the Prophet ﷺ conveyed his message to the entire world.✔ At the Farewell Pilgrimage in Makkah, he addressed a gathering of hundreds of thousands.
✔ His message was for all of humanity, and he presented practical examples in every field of life, serving as an everlasting beacon of guidance.
❖ A Leader and a Victor
✔ The Prophet ﷺ established order and governance in the tribal society of Arabia and laid the foundation of a state, which later expanded significantly.✔ As both a victorious leader and a guide, he ensured minimal loss of life in battles and won over the hearts of people.
