Can a wife give offspring to her husband?
❖ Answer
الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام علىٰ رسول الله، أما بعد!
Yes, the wife can give offspring to her husband, and likewise, the husband can give offspring to his wife.
◈ Scholarly Consensus
- Hafiz Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr (463 AH) رحمه الله stated:
"There is consensus among the scholars on this, and it is derived from the consensus of the Salaf, i.e., the Companions, without any objection from any of them."

◈ Conclusion
- Procreation is a mutual role between husband and wife.
- This matter is agreed upon by the scholars, with no dissent reported from the Companions.
