Chapter: The Virtue of Reconciling Between People
✿ Allah (ﷻ) says:
«وَأَصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ» [الأنفال: 1]
“And reconcile relations among yourselves.”
❀ Narrated by Sahl bin Sa’d (رضي الله عنه)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to the tribe of Banu Amr bin Auf to reconcile between them, and the time for prayer approached.
[متفق عليه: رواه مالك في قصر الصلاة في السفر 61، البخاري 684، مسلم 102:421]
❀ Narrated by Sahl bin Sa’d (رضي الله عنه)
The people of Quba fought amongst themselves until they started throwing stones at one another. The Prophet ﷺ was informed of this, so he said: “Let us go to reconcile between them.”
[صحيح: رواه البخاري 2693]
❀ Narrated by Abu Darda (رضي الله عنه)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Shall I not tell you of something better than fasting, prayer, and charity?” They replied: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah!” He said: “Reconciling between people, for discord between people is the shaver.”
[صحيح: رواه أبو داود 4919، الترمذي 2640]
❀ Narrated by Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه)
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The son of Adam has done no deed better than prayer, reconciliation among people, and good character.”
[حسن: رواه البخاري في التاريخ الكبير 63/1، ومن طريقه البيهقي في الشعب 10580]
