The Grave: A Lonely Court Where Only Deeds Speak

🪦 The Reality of the Grave: The Solitary Court Where Only Deeds Testify
✍️ Written by: Qari Usama alias Abu al-Asqaʿ

🎙️ Opening Scene (Narration + Visuals)

Chilly silence... eerie winds rustling through a graveyard... soft Quranic recitation playing in the background…

Narrator (in solemn voice):
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
﴿كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ﴾

(Surah Al-‘Ankabut: 57)

This world is temporary. No matter how much a person strives, one day he must descend into the embrace of this very soil. The grave…! The first stage of the Hereafter, the place of solitude where wealth, position, influence, lies, or relatives can offer no help.

📽️ Scene 2: The Depth of the Grave – Funeral & Burial

Narrator:
This is that courtroom…
Where there will be no lawyer.
No judge will be visible.
No bail.
No return.
Only one thing will speak — your deeds!

🎙️ Scene 3: From Daylight to Darkness — The Grave

Narrator:
Your cars, villas, phones, fame — all will be left behind.
In the grave, it’s only you, and what will accompany you are:
✔ Your righteous deeds
✔ Your truthfulness
✔ Your Salah (prayer)
✔ Your Taqwa (piety)
✔ Your intentions
✔ Your integrity

🕌 Scene 4: The Grave of a Righteous Person Illuminates

Narrator:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"إنَّ القبرَ أوَّلُ مَنازِلِ الآخرةِ، فإن نجا منهُ فما بعدَهُ أيسرُ منهُ، وإن لم ينجُ منهُ فما بعدَهُ أشدُّ منهُ"
“The grave is the first stage of the Hereafter; whoever is saved from it, what follows will be easier. But whoever is not saved from it, what follows will be more severe.”
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi)

📽️ Scene 5: The Grave of a Sinner Tightens

Narrator:
Those who deceived others in the world, earned unlawfully, lied, committed injustices… for them, the grave becomes dark, constricted, and a place of torment.

💔 Scene 6: The Negligence of People — Phones, Fashion, Laughter

Narrator:
Today, we have forgotten the grave.
We think death is only for others.
We’ve taken the world as everything,
And the grave — merely a photo or post — to scroll past and ignore.

🧎‍♂️ Scene 7: A Man Crying in Prayer in the Graveyard

Narrator:
There is still time…
Repent…
Establish your prayer…
Treat your parents with kindness…
Avoid the unlawful…
Prepare to illuminate your grave!

📢 Final Message (Call to Action)

Narrator:
“Whoever keeps the remembrance of the grave alive — his worldly life becomes upright.
But whoever forgets this station — despite all blessings, remains truly deprived.”

Preparation for the grave relies on two things:

Worship of Allah ﷻ
Well-wishing for His creation

📚 Closing Supplication:

"O Allah! Make our graves gardens from the gardens of Paradise, and do not make them pits from the pits of Hell."
Āmīn, Yā Rabb al-ʿĀlamīn.
