Are there deniers of the Day of Judgment among the jinn and humans?
Answer:
Allah Almighty states:
[Al-An'am: 130]
"O assembly of jinn and men, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves;" and the worldly life deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers."
This is among the matters with which Allah will address the disbelieving jinn and humans on the Day of Judgment.
The phrase «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ» means "from among you," which refers only to the humans. This is an interrogative form intended for affirmation. They will say: "We acknowledge that indeed the messengers conveyed Your message to us, warned us of Your meeting, and informed us that this day was inevitable." Yet, they acted unjustly in worldly life, denied the messengers, opposed miracles, and were ultimately destroyed. The adornments and desires of this worldly life deceived them.
«وَشَهِدُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ» means they will testify against themselves for denying the messengers who had brought them the divine message during their lifetime.
