Chapter: Warning Against Falsely Accusing One’s Slave of Adultery
«باب: الترهيب من قذف مملوكه بالزنا»

✦ Severe Punishment for False Accusation

«عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال: سمعت أبا القاسم صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: من قذف مملوكه، وهو بريء مما قال، جُلِد يوم القيامة، إلا أن يكون كما قال.»

[Agreed Upon: Reported by al-Bukhārī 6058; Muslim 1660:37]
Narrated by Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه):
I heard Abū al-Qāsim (the Messenger of Allah ﷺ) say:
“Whoever accuses his slave of adultery, and the slave is innocent of what he has been accused of, will be flogged on the Day of Judgment — unless he (the master) is truthful in his claim.”

✦ Reflections and Warnings

Islam strictly prohibits false accusations, especially against those under one's authority.
Such injustice will not be overlooked, and its punishment will be delivered in the Hereafter.
The Day of Judgment will expose every false claim — even if it was once hidden or protected by worldly power.
Truth and justice must prevail in all dealings, particularly with subordinates like slaves or workers.
