The Mosque Belongs Only to Allah Almighty:
Once, Sayyiduna Mu'adh ibn Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him, came from Sham to Madinah Munawwarah. When he prostrated, the Holy Prophet ﷺ asked: Mu'adh! What is this?
Mu'adh replied: O Messenger of Allah! I saw the Jews and Christians in Sham prostrating to their popes and priests, so I did the same out of respect. The Prophet said: O Mu'adh!
إنه لا يصلح السجود إلا لله ولو كنت آمرا أحدا أن يسجد لأحد لأمرت المرأة أن تسجد لزوجها من عظم حقه عليها
"It is not permissible to prostrate to anyone except Allah. If I were to allow prostration to anyone, I would only command a woman to prostrate to her husband because the husband's status is higher."
