◈ A Remarkable Incident from the Battle of Uhud
Narrated in Seerat Ibn Hisham:
Umm Sa‘d bint Rabiʿ relates:
Umm ‘Ammarah came to our place. I said to her, “Aunt! Please recount to us the incident from the Battle of Uhud.”
She said: “On the day of Uhud, I set out early in the morning to see what was happening to the Muslims. I had a water-skin filled with water. I reached near the Messenger ﷺ, and the noble companions (رضي الله عنهم) were with him. Initially, the Muslims were achieving victory and dominance. But soon, when the disbelievers began to overpower, I came even closer to the Prophet ﷺ and jumped directly into the battlefield.
Any disbeliever who turned in this direction, I would deflect him with my sword and shoot arrows. Eventually, I sustained multiple wounds.”
Umm Sa‘d continues:
“I saw a very deep wound on her shoulder. I asked, ‘How did this happen?’
She replied: ‘This wound was inflicted by Ibn Qamiyyah — may Allah destroy him!
When people were fleeing in panic, Ibn Qamiyyah advanced saying, “Where is Muhammad ﷺ? Someone tell me where he is! If he survives today, then I am ruined.”
Musʿab ibn ʿUmayr and a few others stood before him, among whom I was also present. He struck my shoulder with this blow. I too struck him several times, but this enemy of Allah was wearing double armor, so the strikes were deflected by the armor.’”

Its chain of narration is weak.

This narration is considered weak due to a break in the chain (انقطاع).
