Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) asked him, "How long have you been here (in the Haram)?" He said, "I have been here for thirty days." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "For thirty days?" Abu Dharr replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace be upon him) then asked, "What was your food?" Abu Dharr said, "I had no food or drink except Zamzam water. Surely, I have gained weight, the wrinkles on my stomach have disappeared, and I have not felt any weakness or hunger." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
"Indeed, it is blessed; it is food and a cure for sickness."
(Musnad al-Tayalisi, p. 61, Hadith: 487, with a Sahih chain)
