Is the completion of faith (Īmān) dependent upon the following 11 components?
Although these components are indeed part of Īmān, declaring that faith is completed solely through them is not entirely accurate, as no ḥadīth explicitly defines these 11 matters as the complete fulfillment of faith.
It is important to remember that Īmān comprises over seventy branches. Regarding this, the Prophet ﷺ stated:
"الإِيمَانُ بِضْعٌ وَسِتُّونَ شُعْبَةً، وَالْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ"
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth No. 23]
"Faith consists of more than sixty branches, and modesty is a branch of faith."
Imām al-Bukhārī has dedicated chapters in Kitāb al-Īmān of his Ṣaḥīḥ to these various branches of faith. For a deeper understanding, it is recommended to study the detailed explanations in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī.
