“When the servant of one of you brings food to him, he should make him sit with him (to eat), or at least give him some of it, for he has endured heat and smoke in its preparation.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ, Ibn Mājah: 3291)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in this very spot last year, where I am standing now. Then he began to weep and said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Adopt truthfulness, for truthfulness is linked with righteousness, and those who uphold both will be in Paradise. Avoid lying, for lying is linked with sin, and those who adopt both will end up in Hellfire.
Ask Allah for well-being, for no one has been granted a blessing better than well-being after certainty (faith).
Do not envy one another, do not harbor hatred towards one another, do not sever ties of kinship, do not turn away from one another, and O servants of Allah! Be as brothers unto one another.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ, Ibn Mājah: 3849)
