If the reality of the situation is that a wife takes from her husband’s wealth to fulfill her own and her children's necessities, then it is permissible for her to take a reasonable amount that is sufficient for herself and her children.
The evidence for this is the narration in which the wife of Abu Sufyan (رضي الله عنها) said:
"O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Abu Sufyan is a miserly man. He does not give me enough expenditure that is sufficient for me and my son, except for what I take from him without his knowledge."
The Prophet (ﷺ) responded:
"Take what is sufficient for you and your son according to what is reasonable."
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 5364]
