Supplication of Blessing When Fearing the Harm of Evil Eye
Authored by: Dr. Raza Abdullah Pasha (Hafizahullah)
❖ Question:
What should a person do if he fears that his own gaze may cause harm (evil eye)?
❖ Answer:
When a person fears that his gaze may cause harm, he should remove its evil by saying:
«اللهم بارك عليه»
As the Prophet (ﷺ) said to ‘Amir bin Rabi‘ah when he cast the evil eye on Sahl bin Hunayf (RA):
«ألا بركت؟»
"Why did you not invoke blessing?"
That is, he should say:
«اللهم بارك له»
«اللهم بارك عليه»
«باسم الله، ما شاء الله، تبارك الله»
"O Allah! Bless him. O Allah! Bless upon him. In the name of Allah, as Allah has willed, may Allah, the Most Blessed, bestow abundant blessings."
