What should I say when I see someone afflicted by magic or any other illness?
❖ Answer:
One should say what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us.
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) that he said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
من رأى مبتلى فقال: الحمد لله الذى عافاني مما ابتلاك به، وفضلنى على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلا
“Whoever sees someone afflicted and says: ‘All praise is due to Allah who has kept me safe from that which He has afflicted you with, and has favored me greatly over many of those whom He has created’...”
