What is said regarding Imam Yahya ibn Saʿid al-Qattān (رح)?
❀ Answer:
Imam Yahya ibn Saʿid ibn Furukh al-Qattān (رح, d. 198H) is unanimously recognized as an Imam and a great Muhaddith. He has extensive contributions in the field of al-jarḥ wa al-taʿdīl (criticism and evaluation of narrators).
❀ Hafiz Ibn al-Mulaqqin (رح, d. 804H) said:
الإجماع قائم على جلالته وإمامته وعظم علمه وإثقانه وبراعته
"There is consensus on his dignity, his leadership, his great knowledge, his precision, and his expertise."
