Fatwa by the Saudi Permanent Committee for Islamic Rulings

◈ Ruling on Borrowing or Using Entrusted Property

If a person is appointed as a trustee (Amīn) over any form of property, or assigned responsibility in any project or program, then it is not permissible for him to use or benefit from that trust for his personal needs.

✔ His duty is to safeguard and protect the entrusted item.
✔ He must ensure it is preserved and utilized only in its rightful place and intended purpose.
