If a fixed-term rental agreement has been made, then the landlord cannot prohibit the tenant from keeping a television until the contract term expires. Once the term ends, the landlord has the right to say:
"Remove it, or we will not renew the contract."
During the rental period, if the tenant keeps a television, there is no sin upon the landlord, because the property was not rented out for that specific purpose.
