What is the ruling on moving a mosque from one location to another, or purchasing items belonging to a mosque for a price?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh. Ammā ba‘d:
If the intention is for the prosperity and maintenance of the mosque and not its destruction, then relocating the mosque from one place to another, or purchasing its items for a price, is permissible.
هٰذَا مَا عِندِي وَالله أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّوَاب
