Sharʿi Status of the Phrase “Nastaghfiruka wa Natūbu Ilayk” in Duʿāʾ al-Qunūt

Are the following words in Duʿāʾ al-Qunūt proven from any authentic hadith?
«نَسْتَغْفِرُکَ وَنَتُوْبُ اِلَيْکَ ، وَصَلَّی اﷲُ عَلَی النَّبِیّ»

Evidence & References
- Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim narrated this supplication with the addition:
“نَسْتَغْفِرُکَ وَنَتُوْبُ اِلَيْکَ”. - Imām ʿAlī al-Qārī (رحمه الله) mentioned in Sharḥ al-Ḥiṣn that in the narration of Ibn Ḥibbān also, this addition is present.
- This addition is also found in al-Aṣīl.
- From the context of al-Ḥiṣn, it appears that this addition comes before the phrase:
“وَصَلَّی اﷲُ عَلَی النَّبِیّ”.

Later research revealed:
- Authentic Athār from some of the Ṣaḥābah (رضي الله عنهم) prove that they sent ṣalāt (durūd) upon the Prophet ﷺ at the end of Duʿāʾ al-Qunūt.
- On this basis, the practice of sending ṣalāt upon the Prophet ﷺ in Qunūt has been accepted as mashrūʿ (legitimate).
