Sharʿī Status of Durūd Ibrāhīmī: In Light of Two Authentic Evidences

"اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ"

① Reported in al-Muwaṭṭa’ of Imām Mālik
This Durūd appears in Imām Mālik’s Muwaṭṭa’, one of the earliest and most reliable collections of aḥādīth.


② Found in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
This exact wording is also recorded in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, which is among the most authentic ḥadīth collections in Islam.
