Severe Warnings in the Qur'an and Hadith Against Opposing the Messenger ﷺ

Opposing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is a grave offense, for which the Qur’an and Hadith contain stern warnings of punishment. Allah ﷻ has issued clear admonitions in multiple places regarding this.
➊ Surah At-Tawbah (9:63)
"أَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ مَن يُحَادِدِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ”
Translation: "Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, for him is the Fire of Hell, wherein he will abide eternally? That is the great disgrace."
➋ Surah An-Nisa (4:115)
"وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا”
Translation: "And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him, and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will turn him to what he has chosen and cast him into Hell — what an evil destination!"
➊ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"كُلُّ أُمَّتِي يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَبَىٰ. قِيلَ: وَمَنْ يَأْبَىٰ؟ قَالَ: مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ أَبَىٰ”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth: 7280)
Translation: "All of my Ummah will enter Paradise except the one who refuses." It was asked: "And who would refuse?" He ﷺ replied: "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me — he has refused."
From these verses and Ahadith, it is clearly evident that disobedience or opposition to the Messenger ﷺ leads to severe punishment and the Hellfire. Those who do not follow the commands of Allah and His Messenger not only face disgrace in this world but also a devastating outcome in the Hereafter.

✿ Verses from the Noble Qur’an
➊ Surah At-Tawbah (9:63)

✿ Noble Ahadith
➊ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
