Ḥaḍrat Ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنهما narrates:
A man mentioned to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ that he was often cheated in sales. The Prophet ﷺ said:
«إذا بايعت فقل: لا خلابة»
“When you make a deal, say: ‘No cheating.’”
[Bukhārī: 2117, 2407, Kitāb al-Buyūʿ: Bāb mā yukrahu min al-khidāʿ fī al-bayʿ; Muslim: 1533; Aḥmad: 2/44; Abū Dāwūd: 3500; al-Nasāʾī: 7/252]
There is also a narration stating that the Prophet ﷺ gave him a three-day option, but Ḥāfiẓ al-Būṣīrī رحمه الله graded it weak.
