Saying the Iqamah by Someone Other Than the Mu'adhdhin

From: Fatāwā ʿUlamāʾ-e-Ḥadīth, Kitāb al-Ṣalāh, Volume 1, Page 158

❀ Question

Can someone other than the Mu'adhdhin say the Iqāmah (second call to prayer)?

❀ Answer

Although the right to say the Iqāmah originally belongs to the Mu'adhdhin or to the person he authorizes, or the one appointed by the Imām, it is still permissible for someone else to say the Iqāmah without formal permission.

In ʿAwn al-Maʿbūd it is mentioned:
"The scholars unanimously agree that if one person gives the adhān and another gives the iqāmah, it is valid. And according to most scholars, there is no issue in this matter."
