❖ Question:
After the Prophethood of the Messenger ﷺ, did Satan retain any ability to recognize or access the news circulating among the angels in the heavens?
❖ Answer:
No,
Satan has no such access.
Allah ﷻ states in the Qur’an:
وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ
“And We have protected it from every accursed devil.”
[Surah al-Ḥijr: 17]
❖ Explanation:
- Allah ﷻ has created fiery missiles (shihāb) to guard the heavens.
- These celestial flames repel and burn the rebellious devils, preventing them from eavesdropping on the conversations of the exalted assembly (malāʾ al-aʿlā)—the angels who discuss divine matters.
- Any devil who attempts to overstep and steal a word is met with a clear and piercing meteor that burns him to ashes.
- Occasionally, a devil may manage to snatch a single word and pass it down to the one below him, who may then relay it to his companions on earth.
However, even in such rare instances, the transmission is interrupted and distorted, ensuring that pure, untainted revelation remains inaccessible to them.
Summary:
After the mission of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the heavens were sealed against satanic interference.
The divine protection ensures that only revelation through appointed angels reaches the Prophet ﷺ, while Satan and his forces are completely cut off from intercepting the divine command.
