➤ This is often a form of waswasah (obsessive whisperings).
Seek treatment from a reliable ḥakīm or medical doctor and use mind-strengthening remedies.
➤ Most importantly, ignore baseless doubts and do not repeat the wudūʼ or ghusl unnecessarily.
Stick to the principle:
Certainty is not removed by doubt.
➤ If a body part dries before the ghusl is complete, this invalidates the ghusl,
because continuity (muwālāh) is required in washing.
✔ Therefore, avoid long gaps between washing different body parts.
➤ If the three handfuls of water fully wet the scalp and hair, and no part remains dry,
then there is no need to wash the head again.
✔ The goal is complete coverage, not repetition.
➤ Ghusl for Jumu‘ah is to be done just like ghusl janābah, ensuring no part of the body remains dry.
➤ Simply pouring water over the body is sufficient if it fully wets all areas.
✘ If any portion of the body remains dry, the ghusl is invalid.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever performs ghusl on Friday like the ghusl of janābah, and sets out early... it is as if he sacrificed a camel in Allah’s cause…”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Kitāb al-Jumu‘ah; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Kitāb al-Jumu‘ah)
✔ Ignore doubts during purification acts — they are baseless.
✔ Ghusl must be continuous, and all body parts must be fully wet.
✔ For both Jumu‘ah and Janābah, proper ghusl is required — no dry area is allowed.

❀ Question:
- I am often unsure during or after wudūʼ or ghusl whether I washed a specific body part or not. Repeating the ablution increases my doubts. What is the ruling in such a situation?
- During ghusl janābah, if one body part dries before the rest is washed, is there any issue?
- After pouring three handfuls of water on the head, is it necessary to wash the head again during ghusl?
- For Jumu‘ah ghusl, is simply letting water flow over the body enough, or is there a specific method? And what if a part of the body remains dry?
