This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamir wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu'bah رضي الله عنه narrates, I was traveling with the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم (when he started performing ablution) so I bent down to remove his socks or stockings, but the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
دعهما، فإني أدخلتهما طاهرتين
"Leave them as they are (do not remove them), because I wore them after performing ablution."

So the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم wiped over them.
② Sayyiduna Hudhaifah bin Yamaan رضي الله عنه narrates, I was with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم when he urinated, performed ablution, and wiped over his socks.
Reference: Muslim, Book of Purification, 273. Abu Dawood, Book of Purification, Hadith 23.
③ Sayyiduna Safwan bin Assal رضي الله عنه narrates, when we were travelers or in a state of travel, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to command us not to remove our socks for three days and three nights due to urination, defecation, and sleep (rather to wipe over them). But if there was a state of major impurity (janabah), then remove them (and perform the full bath).
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Purification, 96. Nasa'i, Book of Purification, 127. The narration is Hasan. In its chain, Asim bin Abi Najood is Hasan al-Hadith.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
ما من مسلم يبيت على طهر ذاكرا لله، فيتعار من الليل يسأل الله خيرا من الدنيا والآخرة إلا أعطاه الله إياه
"Whoever, being a Muslim, sleeps while in a state of wudu, remembering Allah, and then wakes up at night for some reason and asks Allah for the good of this world and the Hereafter, Allah grants him exactly that."
