Alcohol that causes intoxication is considered khamr (intoxicant), and Allah has commanded Muslims to avoid khamr.
Therefore, treating illnesses with intoxicating alcohol is not allowed.
When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked about using alcohol as medicine, he replied:
“It is a disease, not a cure.”
[Sahih Muslim 12/1984]
The Prophet ﷺ also said:
“Whatever intoxicates in large quantities, a small amount of it is also haram.”
[Sunan Abu Dawood, Hadith No. 3681; Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 1865; Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith No. 3393]

Using vinegar that is mixed with alcohol is impermissible,→ because a large quantity of it can cause intoxication.
